James E. Amrhein, S.E., Honorary member of SEAOSC and The Masonry Society. Fellow of ASCE and ACI, served as organizing member of the ACI, SEAOC, MIA Task committee on Slender Walls. Mr. Amrhein is the author of the authoritative Reinforced Masonry Engineering Handbook. Amrhein is retired Executive Director of the Masonry Institute of America and was Supervising structural engineer for the Portland Cement Association.
