About the author ⁄ Robert Fitzgerald, Ph.D.
Dr. Robert Fitzgerald is an Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering and an Emeritus Professor of Fire Protection Engineering at WPI. He has over fifty years of combined experience in the areas of structural engineering and fire protection engineering. An internationally recognized expert in building fire performance evaluation, Dr. Fitzgerald is a Fellow of both the ASCE and the SFPE.
