John Silva, S.E., is Director of Codes and Approvals for Hilti North America. He holds a bachelor’s in architectural engineering from Cal Poly and a master’s in structural engineering from U.C. Berkeley. Silva is a member of ACI committees 355 and 408 as well as the fib Special Applications Group on Anchorage to Concrete and BSSC’s Provision Update Committee (Task Group for Non-structural Elements). He is a licensed structural engineer in the state of California.
