John S. Horvath, Ph.D., P.E. is a Professor of Civil Engineering at Manhattan College in New York Cit,y and the Founding Director of the College’s Center for Geotechnology. A geotechnical engineering specialist for more than 31 years, he is also active in practice as a consultant with Heller and Johnsen of Stratford, Connecticut.
