Jeena Rachel Jayamon is a PhD student in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. She finished her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut, India) and holds a masters degree in Structural Engineering from Virginia Tech. A problem-based learning case study is developed and can be incorporated as part of seismic design or earthquake engineering courses.
