About the author ⁄ James K. Nelson, Jr.
Dr. Nelson is the Brazzel Professor of Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler, and Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He teaches courses in the area of structural analysis and design and has been involved in the development of engineering design software for many years.
