Improving the overall structural behavior and quality of concrete structures is paramount to maximizing service life, minimizing maintenance and improving overall dimensional stability of the placement.
This webinar provides an overview of Type K Shrinkage Compensating Concrete and its use in common industrial & commercial applications – from slabs-on-grade to post-tension designs and more. Its ability to minimize key challenges in concrete applications, like cracking, curling, drying shrinkage and restraint to shortening challenges are discussed, as well as the advantages it offers in improved structural behavior, joint placement design, and reduced in-service operations and maintenance impacts. Sustainability and integrated holistic design aspects are reviewed, along with guidelines for specifying Type K cement concrete and installation “best practices” to ensure durable, long-term performance.
