MAPEI Corporation highlights Planigrout® 740, a high-strength, nonshrink, cementitious tremie grout that is engineered for underwater and structural grouting applications. Formulated with select fine aggregates, silica fume and special additives, Planigrout 740 provides exceptional high early and final compressive and flexural strength, making it ideal for grouting in restrained areas from 1/2" to 6" (12 mm to 15 cm). The product can be extended with washed pea gravel for deeper pours and contains anti-washout additives, allowing it to perform reliably in flowing or stagnant water. Its chloride-free, metal-free formulation offers superior resistance to seawater, freeze/thaw cycles and de-icing salts, while its positive expansion makes it suitable for anchor bolt grouting.
“Planigrout 740 offers contractors and engineers a high-performance, reliable solution for challenging underwater and structural grouting projects,” said Al Weston, Technical Services Representative for Construction and Restoration Systems at MAPEI. “From bridge piers and concrete piles to harbor walls and submerged concrete structures, the product ensures structural integrity, durability and long-term performance in some of the most demanding environments.”
Designed for use in a variety of residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and civil applications, Planigrout 740 meets ASTM C1107 and CRD C621 standards, delivering consistent results in both underwater and above-water grouting situations. Its pumpable consistency and engineered formulation make it an essential tool for professionals tackling critical concrete repair and grouting projects.
