Fifteen students from the SEI Grad Student Chapter, University of Texas, Arlington, participated in an externship event on May 19 at the IEA Dallas Headquarters for an office tour, networking, and job-seeking tips with practice professionals and HR, meetings to review ongoing projects and workplace dynamics, and learning field-required software.

The Charles Pankow Foundation is pleased to announce the award of a new research grant to Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. (SGH) in support of a research collaboration with RDH Building Science Inc., and Morrison Hershfield (MH). The research is led by Co-Principal Investigators Vince Cammalleri (SGH), Stephane Hoffman (MH), and John Straube (RDH).

With nearly 50 attendees representing 33 different Structural Engineers Associations (SEAs), 16 individuals representing all the national committees, and full in-person support of the Board of Directors, NCSEA successfully completed its first-ever SEA Leadership Retreat. Held virtually in 2020 and 2021, the time was right to hold a face-to-face meeting allowing what an in-person event does best – relieve isolation while encouraging collaboration.
