Thomas Duffy, P.E., is a Senior Vice President at Thornton Tomasetti and is responsible for project management and business development for Thornton Tomasetti’s Building Performance practice. He has served on the American Road Transportation Builders Association’s planning and design committee. He sits on the advisory board of the Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction in New York City and has been a mentor and technical advisor for Smith College’s Picker Engineering Program. The art of bridge design is a time-honored pursuit that, throughout the centuries, has undergone significant advances in engineering and technology as a result of mankind’s passion to conquer the challenges of any given crossing.
