Preservation Engineering
When preserving historic structures, structural engineers are often required to apply modern analysis and design techniques to building elements quite unlike those currently used and specified. Preservation Engineering requires both questioning assumptions buried in the current designs and reuse of old design techniques.
Industrial Rope Access
Relying on visual condition assessments of building facades made from a distance often result in a high degree of uncertainty. Pipe staging, suspended scaffolding or aerial lifts can often exceed budget limitations. “Industrial Rope Access” is one solution. Read how scaling the walls can provide improved data from closer inspections.
Kries Dam
The deterioration and stability of Kreis Dam were major concerns to the Hamilton County Park District, in Sharonville, Ohio. Unique solutions provided for an additional 75 years of lifespan, while preserving the historic nature of the structure and working in a very limited time frame. |
